Hay-on-Wye famous for its abundance of bookshops and annual literature festival is just eight miles away and makes for an interesting day out browsing the shops. Hereford is located within a fifteen-minute drive: a town full of history with its cathedral and the Mappa Mundi and Magna Carta where visitors can admire the impressive medieval map which is thought to date back to around 1300. For foodies the town of Ludlow is a real treat as it not only has a famous food festival but is also home to a wide range of well-regarded restaurants and cafes which showcase the best in local produce. This barn conversion property is adjoined to the owner s home and makes a fantastic place to stay for those who want to relax in quiet rural surroundings. On entering the property guests will come directly to the open-plan lounge/diner with its stone floors underfloor heating and cosy wood burner. There is a large dining table and two deep sofas ideal for relaxing with friends or family A TV/DVD can be found here. To the rear of the dining area is a second seating area a lovely spot to enjoy the newspapers or spend some time with a favourite book. Beyond this the kitchen is well-equipped with everything that guests will need to make themselves at home including a Range oven hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer. Stairs from the dining area lead to the first floor where there are two bedrooms. The first of these rooms is an impressively spacious triple-aspect double bedroom which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC and has a Juliet balcony offering attractive countryside views. The second bedroom can be made up as either a twin or double on request and has a en-suite wet room which has been furnished to the highest standard offering a spa bath sauna and rainfall shower. There is the possibility to set up a folding bed for an extra guest which should be requested at the time of booking. Outside there is an enclosed private garden area with a table and chairs adjacent to the property overlooking the farm s pretty cider orchard. Guests are also welcome to explore the farm but they should be aware that there may be livestock grazing at certain times of the year. Off-road parking is also provided next to the property.
