The cottage is nestled next to the river Carron an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty which is world known for salmon fishing permits available from the Ardgay village shop. To the south the land gives way to hills which are romantically covered in snow in winter. Walkers can explore the hills while seeing wild life with peaceful surroundings. The area is steeped in history with the 1845 Highland clearances further west is Croick Church where some of the people who were displaced have marked their names around the church and on the windows. Visit the Falls of Shin where Atlantic Salmon can be seen jumping at certain times of the year. The ruins of Spinningdale Mill can be seen built in 1792 but burnt down in 1806. Nearby Dornoch Beach has pure soft sand which is lapped by the clear North Sea. Golfers have a choice of many golf courses. Ardgay village hosts a train station bus service local taxi service village shop bike shop garage and a friendly community. Stepping inside this lovely converted cottage you will find space to leave your outdoor clothes and boots. Head through to the modern well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining area with table and chairs to enjoy your evening meal once your meal is finished why not play one of the many board games there is on offer from the dresser or simply head back through to the comfy lounge to relax in front of the cosy woodburner (logs included) and watch TV/Blu-ray DVD. The Shower room with shower and WC is also located on the ground floor. Heading back through to the dining area you will find the stairs leading to 1 double and 1 twin bedroom with views over the private grounds and beyond. Stepping back outside there is a seating area and pond where you can enjoy refreshment while taking in the beautiful surrounding countryside views or take a walk down by the stream and explore what these magnificent private grounds have to offer.
