Welcoming two of your four-legged friends, discover many a top stick-chasing spot nearby. Sitting in an acre of land (not enclosed), escape to this welcoming cottage and throw a log on the wood burner which welcomes you inside after long journeys and adventurous days. Cosy up on one of the comfortable sofas which sit beneath characterful, exposed beams and pop on your favourite TV programme.

Stock the kitchen cupboards with provisions and find yourself with ample room to cook up a storm in this spacious room which houses the dining table, too. Exposed stonework and natural light create a rustic, calm ambience, perfect for relaxed breakfasts, three-course feasts and gathering with a mug of something warm.

If the days are warm and the evenings balmy, fire up the BBQ for an evening of sizzling treats and sundowners and sit a while on the terrace. When it's time to head to bed, find one double bedroom on the ground floor, a king-size, twin, and single on the first floor, and the remaining double up a steep staircase in the annexe, great for couples after some peace and quiet.

There is off-road parking for four cars. Its great location means there are so many places to explore throughout your holiday. Hop in the car and travel 7 miles to Corfe Castle, the remains of the magnificent building are now cared for by the National Trust and you can hop on the Purbeck Ridgeway from here.

A 9-mile track which winds its way towards Swanage, enjoy a hike past Old Harry Rocks and finish with a dip in the sea. Next to Swanage, Monkey Beach welcomes dogs all year round. Visit Dancing Ledge, 11.5 miles from home, for a dip in the tidal pool.
