An ideal getaway at any time of the year and a great base to explore south Somerset and Dorset's many attractions. This includes the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, as well as the excellent beaches of Charmouth and Lyme Regis.

Just a short drive away is the market town of Chard which has shops, interesting buildings and is well served with places to eat and drink. Most major shops are available in nearby Taunton. Forde Abbey Country House is perfect for a day out, enjoy a bite to eat at the tea room or wonder around the gardens. Entering the cottage from the rear you are met by a spacious and well-equipped kitchen filled with lots of homely touches including an electric oven and hob, microwave , fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine.

Walking through into a dining room with a stable door leading out to the side garden. Further on, the lounge is a great spot to relax with brick and stone feature fireplace and wood burner where you can watch Sky TV or catch a movie before planning the following days adventures. Heading up the cottage style stairs to the first floor you will find a good size bedroom with king-size bed and ample storage space.

Take a step down into the bathroom which completes the accommodation with shower over bath and WC. Stepping outside there is an enclosed garden area leading to the rear entrance with garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining. There is allocated off-road parking for one small car at the front of the property and additional parking for one car is available through the double gates to the left of the property.
