Crossing the river you can pay a visit to England's oldest attraction, Mother Shipton's Cave. Heading west, the popular spa town of Harrogate (4.5 miles) is home to RHS Garden Harlow Carr, the Turkish Baths and the Royal Pump Room Museum.
