After days on the coast path or exploring the countryside, return for a sundowner in the delightful garden or stretch out in front of the crackling wood burner for a cosy evening. The social heart of this home is the gorgeous lounge/diner, where you can eat together as you discuss your adventures before settling down on the sofas to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV.

In the winter months you can light up the wood burner and get cosy. The bright, well-equipped kitchen has a double ceramic sink and range-style gas cooker and is complemented by the convenient utility room nearby. At bedtime, take the cottage-style stairs to the first floor and discover two of the three bedrooms – a double and a twin – as well as the well-appointed family bathroom.

This room boasts a free-standing bath and separate shower. The third bedroom, a spacious and light-filled king-size is on the top floor. The pretty rear garden has a patio with dining furniture and a BBQ, plus loungers and a lawn – the perfect spot for al fresco evenings together. Shopping and eating out are easy, with the amenities of Flamborough close at hand.

The village also has a golf course and a beach with rock pools. You may even spot nesting puffins from the clifftops in the summer. Hike the coastal path, visit the two ancient lighthouses and – if you’re feeling adventurous – try some sea canoeing. The coastal town of Bridlington (4.5 miles) offers fun for all ages, including two beaches, a model village and a land train, while Scarborough is only 18 miles away.
