The lounge, prettily decorated in neutral tones, is a wonderful place in which to sit back and recharge, with large sofas, a wood burner and a Smart TV. The kitchen includes all the equipment necessary for preparing delicious holiday meals, and leads – via two steps up – to a light-filled dining space with rural views.

One of the four bedrooms is also on the ground floor – a king-size with an en-suite shower room. The remaining three bedrooms are another king-size (with one side of the bed against the wall), a double and a twin. With yet more stunning views, they are all on the first floor (reached via an open-tread staircase from the lounge), and share a family bathroom.

When you want to head outside and enjoy some fresh air, there's a large lawn where children and pets can run around and a patio with dining furniture that's perfect for a sundowner or an evening spent grilling something delicious on the BBQ. This lovely cottage is located between the small village of Goodrich, with its medieval castle ruins, and Symonds Yat, home to an internationally famous viewpoint – and the birthplace of British tourism! As well as being in the midst of gorgeous scenery and with access to a plethora of outdoor activities, you're within 21 miles of the vibrant towns of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, and Gloucester.
