Nearby Hamsterley Forest it offers guests a real outdoor experience, great for adventurous bikers. Visit the market town of Barnard Castle home to a French designed Chateau - Bowes Museum with its collection of art. The iconic Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle are both steeped in history, wander through the city centre to find lots of hidden gems from boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants. This newly renovated former dairy building is now a homely ground-floor resting in the owners working farm grounds with luscious green views.

This humble abode is a great spot for couples or a small family seeking a countryside retreat. Stepping through the front door into a welcoming hallway where you can hang you coat and leave your shoes.
