To top off a brilliant day of adventures, you'll have sole use of a hot tub for drinks with a view. You'll be able to relax and unwind in comfort from the moment you step inside, leaving your muddy coats and shoes by the door. There's a crackling wood burner that provides a cosy atmosphere for family films and games, and mealtimes are a delight in the kitchen with its array of equipment.

The two bedrooms are upstairs and sleep four guests in total, one of which has an en-suite shower room for an additional treat. On balmy evenings, the garden has dining furniture for al fresco suppers before a dip in the hot tub, and of a morning the patio is a pleasant place to sit with your morning coffee.

Not only will you have a choice of trails to choose from across miles of unspoilt countryside, but you'll also be able to try something new such as kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing at Carsington Water 7.5 miles away. Quintessential market towns and villages provide an interesting change of pace with shops, eateries and fascinating heritage, and if you venture to Ashbourne (12.5 miles) you'll be rewarded with impressive Dovedale scenery whilst you enjoy tea and cake.

Known as the gateway to Dovedale, Ashbourne is also the start of the popular Tissington Trail, a must for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
