Just 4 miles away is Battle, renowned for the 1066 Battle of Hastings. It is a town brimming with many independent shops, restaurants, and tearooms.

Keen walkers can enjoy the many footpaths in this area including the nearby Brightling Follies and the 31-mile 1066 country walk. Wonderful locations including Herstmonceux Castle, Pashley Manor Gardens, and the National Trust property Bateman’s are within 10 miles. For those that want to venture further afield Rye, Hastings and Bexhill are within 17 miles.
