Denbigh, Denbighshire - Sleeps 8

Accommodation details

Take a break at this elegant period lodge which is brimming with character. Ideally suited to multi-generational families or friends looking for a getaway together, the property is surrounded by natural beauty and offers a selection of spaces for you to socialise, from the sunny conservatory to the beautiful garden.

Whether you're looking to relax and enjoy the local market towns, climb the Devil's Staircase (8 miles) or wander through the whimsical woodland at Cwm Rhaeadr Forest (12 miles), you'lll not be short of wonderful days out during your stay. Upon arrival, head straight to the library hall to gather with your guests, light the fire and get comfortable on the soft sofas and armchairs.

Another reception is located across the hall with a TV and more comfortable seating, ideal for taking some time away and getting lost in a good book. The kitchen is at the heart of the home, finished to a high standard with a breakfast bar to bring the family together. When it's time to dig into a feast cooked in the kitchen, the conservatory is furnished with a grand dining table, surrounded by idyllic scenery to admire through the dual-aspect windows.

Take the staircase and you'll find the four bedrooms, all tastefully decorated with special features of their own. The master bedroom boasts a super-king-size bed and a balcony overlooking the majestic countryside whilst the bunk room has playful decor and is well-suited to children. In addition, there is a further king-size bedroom and a twin offering flexibility in the sleeping arrangements.

When the sun is shining, there's no better place to be than in the garden which is filled with mature plant life as well as a lovely stream and a wildflower meadow. Lovers of wildlife could pay a visit to The Red Kite Feeding Station (20 miles) to visit the daily spectacle of dinner time for these fascinating birds on the 160-acre farm – it offers a little something for all the family from orienteering walks to farm animals.

Two quirky market towns can be found on the border of the Brecon Beacons, Brecon (23 miles) and Hay-on-Wye (30 miles), both perfect places to spend a leisurely afternoon with historic spots, bookshops and whimsical walking routes to explore.
