Whip up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four as you recount the day's adventures.

After dinner, indulge in a soak in the bath or a refreshing shower. When sleep calls, retire to one of two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a bunk, both with plenty of storage. A wide variety of scenic walks is available from your doorstep. No fewer than four long-distance paths pass through (or close by) Stow: the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way and the Gloucestershire and Monarch's Ways. Almost every village or small town within a few miles of Stow will give delight.

Head over, perhaps, to Bourton-on-the-Water, where you can tour the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, wander around the Birdland Park & Gardens, spot the local wildlife at the Salmonsbury Meadows SSSI, or visit the town's famous Model Village.
