Bewdley, Worcestershire - Sleeps 3

Accommodation details

This property lies on the Shropshire and Worcestershire border with rolling hills in every direction with simply stunning panoramic views. The village itself remains unspoilt with a lovely church and a great local pub close to excellent walks in the Clee Hills and Wyre Forest. Less than a mile from the cottage on the River Rea, you will find some great fishing spots, riding stables and the Applegarth golf course are only 3 miles away.

Spend the day exploring the lovely ancient town of Ludlow (13 miles), famous for its medieval architecture and food and drink festivals. You can wander the picturesque streets of the nearby riverside town of Bewdley (9 Miles), on the banks of the River Severn, there are plenty of eateries, shops and the Severn Valley Railway.

Further afield you have an array of attractions including English Heritages' Witley Court (16 Miles) and The National Trusts Berrington Hall (13 Miles). Entering the large entrance hall, you will be greeted with a row of traditional coat hooks and a large basket of firewood. Along the hallway, climb six steps to the living area, where you can snuggle up by the traditional wood burning stove on the comfy sofa and lose yourself in a good book or watch a movie.

If you stay in for the evening, the other side of the open plan living area has a well-fitted kitchen, including an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and wooden dining table, seating four. Stepping down a few steps you will find a double bedroom with a Emperor size bed (200cm x 200cm), and handmade wooden window shutters adding its charm.

Further down the corridor you will find a single bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. Outside you can enjoy a private seating area with BBQ and furniture within the owners beautifully landscaped garden in the grounds of this Victorian country house. Here you will find plenty of outside furniture for you to relax on while taking in the wildlife including the family of geese that occupy the large pond.

There is ¾ of a mile of river front, which can be used for fishing, or just to sit and watch the Buzzards and Red Kites. There are 22acres of paddocks which guests are free to wander around.
