Unspoiled Marloes Sands, stretching for a mile at low tide, is a hidden gem just 0.5 miles away, and the sheltered beach at picturesque Dale (2 miles) is ideal for water sports. Marloes (0.5 miles) has a village pub and there is a shop in Dale. Enjoy amazing sea views and coastal light throughout this detached property.

There are full-length windows in the bright lounge, along with comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner. The large, country-style kitchen will delight keen cooks and the formal dining area opens onto a splendid conservatory. There are three pretty bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite and two twins, plus a shower room.

Outside, watch the sun go down from the front patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. Pack a picnic and stroll down to Marloes Sands for safe swimming, rock-pooling and a breathtaking seascape with view of Skokholm Island. Admire brightly painted houses in Dale, where you can hire paddleboards, have a surfing lesson or book a boat trip.

There's a wealth of scenic walks along the spectacular coast path, and the chance of spotting seals and dolphins on the 15-minute ride to Skomer Island. Look out for the resident puffins on this beautiful nature reserve. The Leisure Centre in Haverford West (12 miles) has a swimming pool and a great range of rainy-day activities.
