This gorgeous property, situated just half a mile from Saundersfoot Beach, is the perfect romantic bolthole for two. Situated in a leafy garden in a secluded spot, this little cottage is ideal to use as a base to explore Saundersfoot, nearby Tenby and beyond. Spend sunny afternoons at the National Trust's Colby Woodland Garden (4 miles) before returning home to enjoy the pretty garden from comfortable seating with a glass of your favourite drink in hand.

The annexe, which has 23 steps up to the front door, is laid out in a bright and airy open-plan studio style. The compact kitchen area has everything you need to cook up a storm and eat at the table, but a picnic bench in the pretty garden is ideal for dining alfresco. Curl up on the sofa together and watch your favourite show on TV, or move to the sleeping area that's separated by a room divider and snuggle into the double bed for a peaceful night's sleep.

Get ready for the day in the contemporary shower room and head out down the garden path through pretty plants and shrubs to start your adventure. Follow a nearby pathway to The Glen (300 metres) which is a lovely dog-friendly beach – ideal if you brought your four-legged friends. The village itself boasts shops and restaurants that will keep you busy for an afternoon.

Vibrant Tenby (3 miles) is well worth a visit with more pubs, shops and restaurants along with the interesting ruins of Tenby Castle. Pembroke Castle (11.5 miles) offers free guided tours to help you learn the best of this castle's long history.
