This beautiful cottage is situated on the sea front near Cowes and enjoys spectacular open views across the Solent. Visitors can relax and watch a constantly changing scene with sailing boats, liners and small sea craft passing by. It’s a tranquil retreat for couples and small families. The centre of Cowes is within easy reach and offers a range of boutique shops and some excellent restaurants.

The quaint coastal resort of Gurnard is less than a mile away – a pleasant stroll along the seafront. This delightful cottage has been converted from the original coach house of a large Victorian house. It been furnished and equipped to a high standard, with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, beneath the oak and tiled floors.

Guests can relax in the open-plan living room with floor-to-ceiling windows taking full advantage of the open sea views. This room has two sofas, a Smart TV (guests to use their own log-in details), and a wood burner. The contemporary kitchen features a large Range-style cooker, and there is handy separate utility room.

On this floor, you’ll also find a comfortable king-size bedroom, which can be made up as a twin on request at the time of booking. It boasts an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. Patio doors from the bedroom provide access to the garden. An additional shower room on the ground floor has a large walk-in shower.

A door opens from the living room onto an enclosed staircase ascending to a bedroom in the octagonal tower of the cottage. This is a charming double bedroom which includes a hand basin. It has lovely sea views. Please be aware that the upstairs bedroom is not suitable for young children due to the galleried stairwell and open staircase.

Outside, there is raised terrace at the side of the property with garden furniture so that meals can be eaten outside whilst enjoying the wonderful sea views. There is a second terrace at the front of the cottage with open sea views, plus a shared lawn area where visitors can unwind. Visitors are asked not to play ball games in the garden due to the proximity of the esplanade and of the large picture windows in the lounge.

A private path leads from the cottage to the seafront. There is unrestricted parking on the north side of the road outside the property. There is a bus stop less than 150 metres up the road, making it easy to leave the car parked up and explore the local shops and sights. The Red Jet service to the mainland is just over a mile away.

Nearby places to visit include Osborne House (10 miles), the island home of Queen Victoria, the National Nature Reserve at Newtown (10.5 miles) and Havenstreet Steam Railway (9 miles). A golf course, sailing courses, fishing and boating trips are also easily accessible.
