Full of character, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is ideal for exploring the Lake District and the Solway Coast. Entering the cottage, the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a charming living space for you to unwind in. Featuring exposed beams in a high vaulted ceiling, as well as a TV, DVD and plenty of seating, the cosy lounge is a perfect space to settle back, watch a movie or catch up with a good book.

You can share a romantic meal for two around the central dining table, and the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking a range of dishes. Exploring further, the light and tastefully decorated bedroom features a double bed with an additional single bed, plenty of storage space and views of the countryside.

The property also benefits from a stylish shower room complete with handrails. Outside, the private and enclosed patio looks over the farm fields and is a lovely spot to sit back with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening and chat about the day. Allonby (1.5 miles) is a picturesque coastal village with a good choice of places to eat and drink, along with some wonderfully secluded sandy beaches.

The harbour town of Maryport (5 miles) is home to the Lake District Coast Aquarium, the Wave Centre, Maryport Maritime Museum and Senhouse Roman Museum. Travelling inland you can explore Bassenthwaite Lake (16.5 miles) and the historic town of Cockermouth (10.5 miles).
