Comfortable seating and a Smart TV mean you won’t be short of entertainment if you’re spending an evening in, and there’s a table at the far end for sociable meals.

The galley-style kitchen is a chic space with a Belfast sink and all mod cons for cooking and cleaning up, including a microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. The sleek family bathroom is on this floor, too. When you’re feeling tired, take the cottage-style stairs up to the first floor, where two bedrooms await: a king-size, with a chest of drawers and hanging rail, and a twin that has views of the garden.

Outdoors, you’ll have a small, shingled patio with a dining set, a lovely spot in which to sip a sundowner or enjoy a meal alfresco. There’s also a long, enclosed area of grass which is perfect for energetic children or a canine companion. The village of Titchwell is probably best known as the home of RSPB Titchwell, the renowned reserve which includes reed beds, salt marshes and a freshwater lagoon as well as a beach, woodland and two nature trails.

There are two hotels with excellent restaurants in the village, too. The Victorian seaside resort of Hunstanton is only 6 miles away, while Wells-next-the-Sea is just 10.5 miles.
