The town also lies on the edge of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is never short of thrilling walking and hiking routes to be enjoyed. It wouldn't be a trip to Dorset without a visit to its glorious coastline, an area which lies a little further away but well worth the trip (35 miles).
