In a conveniently central location, you can easily visit the best of North Devon from this delightful farm courtyard setting. Your kids will be entertained for hours in the games barn which has table tennis, football and air hockey in the pétanque area. Light up a BBQ on a summer's evening and soak up the evening warmth on the patio. This charming accommodation is a wonderful setting for a small family holiday or a romantic retreat.

Furnished with a wood burner and comfortable sofas, the open-plan lounge/diner is ideal for relaxing. Put your feet up and watch a film on the TV while keeping warm in front of the fire. Seating four, the dining table is great for family meals. Cook up a storm in the galley-style kitchen which is well-equipped for our stay.

Four people can sleep over the two bright and cheerful bedrooms, furnished so you can have a restful sleep. There's also a shower room to refresh you after a day in the countryside and what's more, you can also take two of your canine pals. The village of Umberleigh is just under a mile away, with pubs and shops as well as a handy train station.

Hop on the train to Exeter for a shopping trip, to visit award-winning restaurants or just to explore. In the other direction lies Barnstaple, which boasts the Tarka Trail for picturesque walks and a lovely town centre with a popular pannier market. Further afield, you can find several beaches such as Saunton (16 miles) and Westward Ho! (17 miles).
