Bright, airy and attractively decorated, settle in to the open-plan lounge area to relax after a busy day, which becomes a cosy haven once the wood burner is lit - just make sure your doggy doesn't hog all the heat.

On warm summer evenings, enjoy the stunning surroundings with a glass of wine on the patio or take out your morning coffee and wake up with the wildlife. Run, fetch and chase the waves at Chevron Fold (5 miles) and Boscastle (10.5 miles), or try the Bude Sea pool (8 miles). The seaside town of Bude (8 miles) is ideal for surfing, shopping and perusing local eateries.

Explore the local history at Lawrence house (13.5 miles), a beautiful, Georgian town house. For parkland walks try Dunsland (14 miles) and for remote moorland, head to Bodmin Moor and climb Bray Down (28 miles). The picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac (21 miles) is also a fantastic day trip.
