Head down to Falmouth (3.5 miles) and wander around the harbour before finding a cosy pub or restaurant to rest in.

Pendennis Castle (5 miles) and the National Maritime Museum (4 miles) are close by, while Gyllyngvase Beach (3.5 miles) has a magnificent wide arc of golden sand and blue seas. Further afield, Flambards Theme Park (11 miles) is a hit with children, as is Trebah Garden (7 miles) with lush canopies bursting with exotic blooms and tunnels of plant life.
