Kemeys Commander, Monmouthshire - Sleeps 4

Accommodation details

Take a break at this cool contemporary holiday home just south of the Brecon Beacons National Park and you'll be able to dine alfresco on the private terrace or soak in the scenery from the dual-aspect lounge area. Ideally located for easy access to several walking routes, you'll find the River Usk less than a mile away connecting to the National Trail Usk Valley Walk.

At the heart of the home is the living room, flooded with natural light and decorated in pale shades to help you relax each evening. Two comfortable sofas and a footstool ensure that there's space for all the family, with a Smart TV for added entertainment. The kitchen is generously sized with modern finishes that ensure you're equipped to cook your favourite meals during your break.

Dinners can be served on the four-seater dining table surrounded by bi-fold doors, allowing you to bring the outdoors in when the sun is shining. When it's time to retreat to the bedroom, take your pick from the two monochrome rooms furnished with super-king-size beds, one of which can be made up as a twin upon request, and the other which enjoys an en-suite for added privacy.

There is also an additional shower room serving the property. Outside, on the terrace, a table and chairs make outdoor entertaining a great choice. Within a mile of your doorstep, you'll find a fantastic pub, featured in the Michelin Guide, as well as a farm shop filled with local produce for you to bring home with you.

A fantastic day out for all the family can be found at Llandegfedd Lake (9 miles) with opportunities to try a whole host of water and land-based activities including paddleboarding, open water swimming and axe throwing. A visit to the Brecon Beacons whilst staying locally is a must, with summits such as Sugar Loaf (11 miles) and the Skirrid (11 miles) to scale offering showstopping views and memories to last a lifetime.
