The area is a cyclist's paradise and Smithy Cottage can offer secure bicycle storage. A 10-minute stroll will bring you to the prestigious Windermere Golf Club which borders Lindeth Lane. Only 2 miles to Bowness on Windermere and the Lake, and the area has many low-level countryside walks leading directly from the cottage.
