Off the beaten track and perfectly located for a walking holiday in the Lakes, this property offers comfortable accommodation for up to four people and one or two dogs in two bedrooms. It is ideal for a family, friends or a couple who want to explore this lovely secret corner of the Lakes, or alternatively who want privacy and peace, surrounded by stunning mountain views.

Homely, loved and welcoming. The cottage is located in Mungrisdale amidst beautiful mountain scenery. There are several fantastic walks straight from the door that are suitable for walkers of all abilities. Choose from a gentle stroll up the picturesque Glenderamackin Valley, a hike over Blencathra and Souther Fell or, an interesting ridge walk to the top of Bannerdale Crags.

Mungrisdale retains a peaceful air of seclusion and lends itself to a restful escape - it's truly a little corner of heaven! For those wishing to venture further afield then Ullswater, Helvellyn, Derwentwater, Skiddaw and Borrowdale are all within a 30-minute drive. You'll find an excellent pub within a 5-minute walk of the cottage, a village hall and a charming 17th-century church.

Mungrisdale is midway between Penrith and Keswick and both towns have plenty of good places to eat as well as a variety of shops. Keswick also has a cinema and a theatre. Head through the pretty garden gate and step into the entrance hallway. On the ground floor you will find a warm and welcoming, traditional sitting room where you can snuggle up in front of the wood burner.

There is a Sky Q TV, DVD player, Sonos Arc Smart Sound Bar featuring Dolby Atmos and Voice Control, and Sub woofer sound system in this room, to make the most of those relaxing nights in. There is plenty of comfortable seating in this spacious room so your party can really spread out! The kitchen/diner has wonderful fell views and is well-equipped with an electric cooker, fridge with small freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

A circular dining table has seating for four and the lovely Welsh dresser adds to the wonderfully traditional feel of this lovely cottage. Also on the ground floor is shower room with shower and WC. Heading upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms - a twin and one that can be made up as either a twin or a double.

The master bedroom has a Sky Q TV. The main bathroom is also on this floor and has a power shower over the bath, a heated towel rail and separate WC. Outside is an enclosed cottage garden with a lawn, garden seating and beautiful mountain views: ideal for watching the visiting red squirrels and birdlife!
