Light the fire, soak up the scenery from the terrace or head up Castle Crag or along Langstrath Valley, where you can swim in the natural pool at Black Moss Pot about 1 mile from your front door. Walk 3 miles from home to reach the edge of Derwentwater then follow a 10-mile circular route along its shores.

Spend your afternoons in Keswick, 6.5 miles away, wandering around the interesting independent shops, choosing places to dine out and visiting museums. Try paddle-boarding or canoeing on Derwentwater or book a cruise to take you the length and breadth of the lake. Enjoy the warm ambience of this quaint cottage during your holiday to the Lake District.

Make your way inside and into the welcoming lounge, with its timber beams and open fireplace. Watch TV in here, make plans for the following day or take the few steps up into the snug instead which also boats a Smart TV. Head through into the kitchen/diner as mealtimes approach. This is a compact, yet well-designed space which has a built-in fan oven, electric hob, microwave, a fridge and washer/dryer.

Gather round the table to enjoy your homecooked food. Follow the stairs up to the first floor, taking care at the top where they open up. Find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with scenic views. The bedrooms share the bathroom, with its shower over the bath Spend sunny days out on the terrace.

Enjoy your morning coffee or take your meals out here when it is warm enough and gaze out towards the mountains. No designated parking, parking is in a lay by approximately 50 metres from the cottage.
