Pack a picnic and head to Watermouth Bay, 2 miles away, where you can swim, paddleboard and spend time at the theme park.

Head back at the end of each day to relax together in your scenic surroundings and watch the donkeys in the paddock. Make your way up to your two-storey lodge to discover welcoming, barn-style accommodation, with a reverse-level design and a layout that could be ideal for two families sharing. Discover you have a family bedroom, complete with double bed and two singles, and a bunk bedroom on the ground floor.

There is also a family bathroom. Climb the stairs up to the main living area, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Enjoy the sense of space in here thanks to the high vaulted ceiling and the characterful ambience brought by the exposed timbers. Settle on the soft seating after your long coastal or country walks and find a film that everyone will enjoy watching on the TV or DVD.

Take turns preparing delicious meals to sit down to at the table, using the Devon produce you have shopped for and the equipment in the kitchen. Discover a dishwasher to ensure clearing up is not arduous and a handy washing machine for any walking or beach clothing. Two additional bedrooms can be found at this level.
