The cottage is set in a peaceful location, yet it’s just a 600-metre walk through Fitz Park to the bustling centre of Keswick. It is a great base to explore the Lakes on foot, by bike, car or bus. The town is surrounded by mountains, Skiddaw and Blencathra, and is located between Derwentwater (1 mile) and Bassenthwaite Lake (4 miles).

The old Keswick-Threkeld railway line path is moments away from the property with lots of walks right from the doorstep. At Whinlatter Forest (5 miles), why not Go Ape, hire bikes and explore the forest trails. Walk the shore path around Derwentwater and visit Theatre by the Lake (1 mile). The Mountain Festival, usually held in May or June, offers three days of world-class sports, outdoor activities, talks and films with live music taking place in and around the town. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway, where you will find storage for coats and boots.

There is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with views over the pretty enclosed garden, with trees and the river in the distance. The lounge offers a great space to relax and unwind with comfortable sofas, a log-burner style electric fire, Smart TV and a digital Bluetooth radio. Enjoy a good book or make plans for the days ahead.

You can look forward to breakfast or an evening meal with doors open to the garden on a summer's day. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer, Krups coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and integrated washer/dryer. Head back into the hallway and up the stairs to the first floor, here you will find two bedrooms with views over the garden and river.

There is a king-size and twin and a family bathroom with shower and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a lawn and patio area with seating to enjoy al fresco dining. There is also a small, pretty front garden with a bench for relaxing and watching the world go by. There is unrestricted residents’ parking just a few metres from the house or you can park one car in front of the owner’s garage which is approximately 25 metres away.
