The area offers wonderful opportunities to explore the Northumberland National Park with its Dark Skies status, numerous walking and cycling routes. Just 10.5 miles away lies Bamburgh with its impressive castle, expansive sandy beaches, excellent restaurants, and friendly pubs.

The heritage coastline beckons with seaside villages including Seahouses, perfect for boat trips to the Farne Islands, while Beadnell and Craster offer great seafood, rock pooling, and watersports. Holy Island is accessible via causeway, and Berwick-on-Tweed is just 14 miles distant. Wooler, 7 miles away, provides shopping and dining options, along with golf, horse riding, and access to the spectacular Cheviot Hills. The stone cottage features vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, combining traditional charm with modern luxury comfort.
