Golf lovers will make a beeline for the course 3 miles away, while history buffs will love visiting the medieval castle at Carisbrooke (3 miles).

You can spend a day by the sea at Ryde (5 miles) or head south to discover the sandy beaches of Sandown (7.5 miles) and Ventnor (10.5 miles). Hamstead Heritage Coast (6.5 miles) is an excellent option for nature lovers, while children will vote for a visit to Blackgang Chine theme park (10.5 miles).
