Take a moment to make yourself at home in front of the wood burner before heading to the spacious kitchen/diner to whip up some dinner for everyone. Enjoy a sociable meal at the chic dining table, and then take an after-dinner stroll in the lovely local park, which is only 250 metres from the front door.

Come home to stretch out in front of the TV in the lounge before bedtime. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find two lovingly decorated bedrooms – one double and one with a single trundle bed that can be made into a twin on request. Wander around the breathtaking gardens of Walsingham Abbey Grounds (9.5 miles), which is home to the spectacular ruins of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Alternatively, visit the Thursford Collection (6 miles) to browse its fascinating collection of steam engines, old-fashioned fairground carousels and all kinds of related memorabilia that will take you back in time.
