Walkers can explore walks in the Black Mountains a mile away, including a delightful trail up Mynydd-Troed or the Dragon's Back circular walk. Alternatively, for a relaxing day, there are some lovely market towns nearby, such as Hay-on-Wye (11 miles), known as the 'Town of Books', Crickhowell (9 miles), and Brecon (11 miles). The Eco credentials for Storm Barn are impressive with 3 acres of land having been rewilded and planted with over 1,400 native trees.

Water is supplied from a private natural spring fitted with an ultraviolet filter ensuring all beneficial minerals remain in the water. The barn features under floor heating and hot water supplied by a ground source heat pump and solar panels. All rooms are decorated in non-toxic earthborn clay paints to allow the walls to breathe naturally.
