Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and airy, blending modern furnishings with elegant sash windows and a parquet floor. Enjoy cooking in the sleek kitchen/diner, where you'll find a coffee machine and a dishwasher for your convenience, before relaxing on the comfortable seating in the lounge area.

From here you can enjoy wonderful views over the gardens to Morecambe Bay in the distance, perhaps perched on the window seat while listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker. There's a Smart TV, too, should you want to pull down the blinds and have a cosy evening at home. The tasteful double bedroom includes a French-style bed as well as an en-suite shower room.

For additional ablutions there's also a separate bathroom, with a shower over a half-bath, perfect for anyone wanting a soak after a day's walking. For a drink or a snack alfresco, there's a private patio, and the extensive and very beautiful shared grounds are also yours to explore. For a meal of local, seasonal produce, the village pub is 1 mile away across local paths, while vibrant Ulverston is just 5 miles away and historic Cartmel, with its array of incredible eateries, is 10 miles away.
