Holly Cottage has been developed as part of a fantastic barn conversion offering comfortable, contemporary living in a stunning location. Situated near to the villages of Hunstanworth and Blanchland, this cottage has all the qualities of a rural hideaway whilst not being completely detached from civilisation.

Holly Cottage comfortably accommodates 7 guests, making it ideal for families. The ground floor comprises a spacious lounge with TV, Freeview, DVD and CD/radio, a fully-equipped breakfasting kitchen including dishwasher and spacious dining room, and bathroom and separate WC. The first floor provides two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom, all with fantastic original beams.

Completing the property is a family bathroom with shower over bath, WC. and wash basin, as well as a separate shower room. Externally there is a shared, enclosed gravelled courtyard with garden furniture. Please note, that for larger groups, this cottage can be booked alongside other similar cottages. Holly Cottage is situated near to Hunstanworth in the Derwent Valley.

The beautiful little village of Blanchland, which is within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is only 2 miles from the property. It is very popular with those wishing to walk in the surrounding countryside or sail and fish on Derwent Reservoir. There are some shops, a post office, a tea-room and old parish church in the village. Nearby Hexham and Corbridge, delightful market towns, and famous Hadrian’s Wall, are only 11 miles to the north of this property and definitely worth a visit.

The historic university town of Durham is about 30 miles away and a fantastic day out for all the family with plenty of restaurants, river walks, rowing, Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral. Beamish Open Air Museum, ideal if you have children, is only 15 miles away. Slightly further afield is the metropolitan city of Newcastle Upon-Tyne.

Why not take a walk along the quayside to take in some of the famous sights of the city? This cottage accepts two well behaved dogs.
