The sociable kitchen/diner is a lovely space to gather after a busy day, cooking a hearty meal in the stylish kitchen area and sharing family mealtimes around the wooden dining table.

After dinner, make yourself comfortable on one of the leather sofas in the lounge to watch the TV/DVD or read a book in front of the wood burner. Crickhowell is a pretty town with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The town is a magnet for walkers, with easy access to the Black Mountains and routes from the town along the River Usk, Beacon's Way, or to the summit of Crug Hywel.

The picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye makes a lovely day out, with its myriad of second-hand book shops, quaint tearooms and quirky boutiques. You can also hire canoes and paddleboards in the town to explore the area from the river.
