Patio doors lead from the lounge and the kitchen into the large, enclosed garden, which has a patio and outdoor furniture, providing a lovely spot to sit back and admire the views as you enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine. The historic market town of Penrith (8 miles) has plenty of great places to eat and drink, plus attractions including the popular Rheged Centre and the remains of Penrith Castle.

The North Pennines (1 mile to the east) offers miles of wonderful walking opportunities, as does the Lake District, with Ullswater the nearest of the lakes (13 miles). Other local landmarks and attractions include Lacy’s Caves (7.5 miles), Dalemain Mansion (11 miles), Lowther Castle and Gardens (12 miles) and Brougham Castle (9.5 miles).
