Close to the heart of the village, this beautiful cottage has plenty of delightful features including exposed beams, flagstone flooring, a roll-top bath and a welcoming wood burner. This airy property has a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with feature beams and sandstone flooring. The pretty lounge is perfect for snuggling up to watch a film on the Smart TV or chatting into the night by the wood burner.

There's also a handy office space, while the central dining table is ideal for getting together to enjoy a meal or plan the day's adventures. The stylish kitchen is great for cooking all your favourite meals. The sandstone staircase leads up to the first floor and three bright, cosy and relaxing en-suite bedrooms: two doubles and a king-size.

The bedroom overlooking the back garden has a floor-to-ceiling glass window in its en-suite bathroom; with one-way glass this ensures you can shower in privacy while still enjoying the countryside setting. Outside, the lovely, enclosed south-facing garden has views over the fields and makes a lovely spot for a morning coffee or a glass or two of wine in the evening.

Pooley Bridge has some welcoming pubs and is a fantastic base for water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and walkers. Attractions near Ullswater include Aira Force Waterfall, Helvellyn, Dalemain Mansion and Lowther Castle and Gardens (all within 10 miles). Bustling Penrith (6 miles) and Keswick (16 miles) are nearby, or you can head over to explore the North Pennines (13 miles).
