Popular with outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers an abundance of footpaths and cycle trails just waiting to be discovered. At the end of the lane, step onto the fellside towards Walla Crag and on to the much photographed Ashness Bridge. Hop onto one of the Derwentwater Launches to view this spectacular scenery from the water, stopping off at the many attractions and viewpoints along the way.

Discover local history at Castlerigg Stone Circle, just 1.5 miles north, or enjoy some family fun in Keswick only 1.5 miles away, when you visit the museums, the Puzzling Place or the climbing wall. Step into the property through a small porch that leads to the delightful lounge, from which a shuttered window provides stunning views of the lake and fells beyond.

With a warming wood burner, smart TV, DVD player and Bluetooth radio, this is a cosy space for relaxing by both day and night. A small conservatory with a bistro table and chairs offers an alternative space in which to unwind with a good book. The kitchen is light and bright, well equipped with an electric Range oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and a small table for enjoying light meals and snacks.

While the handy utility room houses the washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board. The dehumidifier, aerial dryer and boot rack are great for drying off your coats and boots after a long day on the fells. Enjoy evening meals together in the separate dining room, with its spectacular views and a good selection of maps, games and DVDs to choose from.

The property also has a selection of children's books and toys. On the first floor are three spacious king-size bedrooms, two of which overlook the lake and fells. The main bathroom is also on this level and has a shower over the bath, sink and WC. There is also an additional WC on this level. While upstairs on the second floor is a triple bedroom with original oak roof beams and an adjoining bathroom with a pretty mosaic floor bath, sink and WC. Outside, a lawn garden with table and chairs is a wonderful spot for enjoying al fresco meals and drinks in the evening sunshine.

There is also a gravel parking area with space for three cars. There is also a car charging point available suitable for charging vehicles overnight at no extra cost.
