Fill your time with nature walks around Bassenthwaite Lake while staying in the north of the Lake District National Park. The village of Bassenthwaite is 1.5 miles away where you can get a meal out at the local pub. Soak up the views from the Bassenthwaite Lake Viewing Point (6.5 miles) and take your four-legged friends for a sniff around Dodd Wood (1.5 miles).

The market town of Keswick is 5.5 miles away and is an excellent place for an array of rainy-day activities like museums and a theatre.
