Standing in glorious countryside, this impressive cottage is perched on the edge of Catton village, and offers easy access to the moorland and dales in and around the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hexham Abbey is just 9 miles away, with the Roman forts at Vindolanda and Housesteads both within 12 miles.

The cottage is surrounded by rolling fields with the dramatic, sweeping valleys of the nearby Northumberland National Park (8.5 miles) ripe for exploration. The cottage sleeps eight people across four bedrooms, and offers spacious open-plan living areas and a large, enclosed garden, perfect for socialising.

Entry to the cottage is via the conservatory, a well-appointed space ideal for an early morning coffee while the children play on the lawn beyond. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a homely ambience, its mixture of comfortable seating, arranged around the wood burner within an inglenook fireplace – an area to relax during the day and come together for drinks, games and films in the evenings.

The kitchen area will see plenty of traffic, whether it's cooks creating hearty meals or those grabbing a coffee at the breakfast bar. The dining area has more than enough room for all to enjoy memorable meals in comfort. A shower room and a separate utility room leading out into the garden hide just around the corner, handy for storing kit and cleaning up after a day out.

On the first floor, four beautifully presented bedrooms line up across the landing: three super-king-size bedrooms, two with en-suite shower rooms, and a king-size bedroom. All the bedrooms can be made up into twin bedrooms on request and are served by a family bathroom.
