For those more adventurous, the local golf course is close by (0.5 miles), as are the Giant Graves standing stones (2 miles) which offer some amazing views.

A short drive away is Ravenglass Railway (13 miles) which is a great day out for the family, from the train rides to cafes and shops nearby. Alternatively, head to the world-renowned Scafell Pike (24 miles), and head up the fells for the walk of a lifetime. As you sit on the two leather sofas in the first lounge, surrounding the warmth of the wood burner, enjoy the views of Black Combe fell whilst resisting the urge to go and explore. There are three king-size bedrooms, one of the king-size shares a Jack and Jill shower room with the twin bedroom.
