Get cosy in the living room with the TV on and the wood burner blazing or throw open French doors dotted throughout the lounge and kitchen to create an inside-outside living space for the summer.

The ancient hill fort of Symonds Yat is just 3 miles away, nestled amongst Wye Valley splendour and offering cycling trails, walking routes and the chance to canoe in the river.

It's also one of the best places in the UK to watch Peregrine Falcons, so keep an eye out for birds of prey in the skies as you go. Explore Coppett Hill (3.5 miles) to find a walking route filled with vibrant wildlife and the chance to admire the valley from up high or explore the English Heritage site of Goodrich Castle (3.5 miles).
